The rich agricultural lands of South Dakota have long been known as the ringneck pheasant capital of the world.  Each fall, thousands of wing shooters converge on this region for some of the finest shotgunning to be found anywhere.  South Dakota annually produces millions of pheasants for the enjoyment of the avid and novice hunter alike.

Beside wing shooting, South Dakota also offers excellent whitetail hunting throughout the state and mule deer hunting in several of the northwestern counties.  And if pheasants and deer aren’t enough, don’t forget to bring your fishing rod and decoys.  Hit the corn field in the morning for some outstanding duck and goose hunting, then off the lake for a limit of walleyes in the afternoon.
