West Central Wyoming Elk Hunt

The Bridger Teton Wilderness of west central Wyoming holds breathtaking beauty with hundreds of high mountain lakes and streams located just below the towering snow capped peaks. This region of Wyoming also offers some of the best elk hunting to be found anywhere in the Rocky Mountains.

Camp is located at 10,000 feet with access by horseback or if you choose, by 4-wheel drive vehicles. The terrain around camp is quite gentle and provides a very enjoyable hunting atmosphere with a minimum of physical exertion.ย ย

This area boasts one of the highest concentrations of native elk anywhere in the region. Bulls taken from this camp normally run in the low 300-point class, with larger bulls occasionally taken. This is a 8-day trip with 6 full days of hunting guided 2 x 1 by professional guides who have been in this camp for many years and can show you where the good bulls hang out.

Seasons here start as early as September 20th, right during the peak of the rut and run into October for those of you who choose to hunt when the weather turns colder. This is a great hunt and is very reasonably priced…and don’t forget your fishing rod as the action for rainbow and brook trout in the high mountain lakes is second to none.
