Oregon Columbia Whitetail Deer Hunt

The once endangered Columbia whitetail deer that numbered less then 300 animals in the mid-1940s has mad a remarkable recovery with current populations in excess of 6000 animals. Beginning in the fall of 2005, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife authorized an extremely limited 12-day hunting season in Douglas County, Oregon…the very heart of Columbia whitetail deer country.

The Outdoor Pursuit is now pleased to announce that we have teamed up with a prominent hunting family in Douglas County, Oregon, who have access to 5,000 acres of the most prime Columbia whitetail habitat in existence.  In June of 2007, Safari Club International added the Columbia whitetail to their list of North American trophies.

Hunting licenses for the Columbia whitetail deer are only accessible through a very limited drawing process or by guaranteed landowner authorizations granted to our clients at the time of booking. This premier Columbia whitetail hunt is fully guided 1×1, beginning in late-September and running through early-October. Bucks taken on these properties currently have the potential to produce the new world record Columbia whitetail, with bucks on past hunts averaging 130 B&C points.

This is a family-operated hunting business with modern lodge accommodations, home-cooked meals and trophy care. If you are interested in becoming a leader in the big game record books or are simply trying to complete your collection of North American whitetail deer then this Columbia whitetail hunt is the chance you have been waiting for.
