There is nothing quite like a clear frosty mountain morning and the anticipation that comes as the bugle of a huge herd elk bull reverberates from canyon to canyon.

The Rocky Mountain elk inhabits most of our western states and several Canadian provinces.  A good wilderness elk hunt is one of the most rewarding hunting experiences there is.  Because of intense management by wildlife agencies and assistance from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, elk hunting opportunity is excellent.
