There is no better place to hunt a trophy mountain goat than the Cassiar Mountains of northern British Columbia. This rugged isolated region is only accessible by floatplane, has absolutely no outside hunting pressure and is home to one of the most viable mountain goat populations in North America.
This hunting concession spans nearly 1 million acres of prime game country with plenty of trophy billy goats to choose from and consistently produces trophies with 9 ยฝโ to 10 ยฝโ horn. The majority of the larger billys are taken during the earlier part of the season in August and September before colder weather moves in. If you want a goat with long hair, a later hunt is advised.
