The complex features a hall that can be used for various sports and cultural events, as well as school lessons during the day. The building's exterior is characterized by its green hue and playful yellow ground floor, while its interior is organized around two public foyers that encourage social interaction and community engagement. The awards also recognized the Pavilion of the Sliding Doors in Nuglar-St. Pantaleon, Switzerland, which was designed to serve as a shelter for young people to meet and gather. The pavilion's movable elements allow for countless spatial configurations, while its translucent glazing filters the light and casts changing patterns on the floor and walls throughout the day. The project is a vivid symbol of participatory and collective creation, with the community playing a key role in its development and construction. In the residential category, the Apostelhof Vienna in Vienna, Austria, has been recognized for its thoughtful transformation of a former wholesale seed business and metalworks into an inner-city residential complex. The project treats the existing building stock as both a resource and an identity, with additive interventions responding sensitively to the existing structures. The Milchbuck Apartment Building in Zurich, Switzerland, has also been praised for its innovative design, which integrates into the existing perimeter block development as a courtyard structure. The building's structure recedes at the corners where trees are located, with concave curves and glazed sections that bring the outdoors into the interior. The House Between Planes in Dietikon, Switzerland, has been recognized for its spatial interplay of precisely placed planes and flowing spatial sequences, while the Landscape as Matter project in Ambilly, France, has been praised for its thoughtful approach to residential density and quality. The awards also recognized the Nollet project in Paris, France, which has transformed a 1930s car park into a social housing residence offering 83 subsidized units. The project turned an example of obsolete urban infrastructure into dense, dignified living, while the Inverted Farm in Vuisternens-devant-Romont, Switzerland, has been praised for its innovative approach to renovation and addition. The project transformed a 19th-century farmhouse into a mixed residential and permaculture programme, with the former agricultural volume accommodating the new home and the south-facing dwelling converted into a greenhouse. Finally, the Densification and Conversion project in the Bosquets Artisan District in Vevey, Switzerland, has been recognized for its careful approach to densification, balancing the preservation of the site's historical identity with contemporary uses. The project converted a heritage-protected building into housing through the insertion of service cores, while preserving the interior elements that define the character of the spaces.
