Argentina is South America's leading producer of small grain crops. Croplands are mingled within vast forested areas and inhabited by tens of millions of doves, pigeons and other species. In addition to the dove and pigeon shooting, many areas offer the waterfowl hunter action that is unparalleled anywhere in the world. Several species of ducks and geese inhabit the coastal flood planes and decimate the cropland of nearby farms to such an extent that there is no limit to the number of birds that may be take. Argentina is also home to numerous species of native and imported big game species.
